Tamil Nadu has achieved a milestone by registering over 10,000 startups with the Division for Promotion of Business and Inner Commerce (DPIIT), beneath the Union Ministry of Commerce and Business, the state authorities stated on Sunday.
StartupTN has performed a vital position in nurturing the ecosystem by implementing numerous schemes and initiatives like funding programmes, mentorship alternatives and incubation help, StartupTN Mission Director and CEO Shivaraja Ramanathan stated.
The state’s startup ecosystem has been ‘thriving’ with 9 regional hubs and a metro hub in Chennai, offering a strong infrastructure for budding entrepreneurs to develop, he stated.
“Tamil Nadu has achieved a outstanding milestone of 10,000 DPIIT registered startups, a big bounce from 2,300 in March 2021. This exponential progress could be attributed to the revival of StartupTN beneath the management of Chief Minister M Okay Stalin specializing in supporting startups and fostering innovation,” Ramanathan stated in a social media put up.
He stated the government-promoted company has inspired entrepreneurship among the many youth, who drive innovation and progress.
“With sturdy backing from the state authorities, Tamil Nadu is poised to grow to be a number one startup hub,” he added.
