Sarah Michelle Gellar has shared a heartfelt tribute to her former Buffy the Vampire Slayer castmate Michelle Trachtenberg following her premature passing at age 39.
Taking to Instagram on Feb. 27, Gellar posted a number of images capturing their shared moments from Buffy and their enduring friendship through the years.
“Michelle, hearken to me. Pay attention. I like you. I’ll all the time love you. The toughest factor on this world is to dwell in it. I will probably be courageous. I’ll dwell… for you,” she expressed, adapting a cherished “Buffy” quote.
Trachtenberg made her mark on Buffy portraying Daybreak Summers, the youthful sister to Gellar’s character Buffy Summers, from 2000 via 2003.
